People and Cars – What Kind of Limousine Would your Personality Be

When it comes to limousines, each one has its own personality, so which one are you?

Fast and Furious

If you’re all about the party, loud music, strobe lights, dancing poles and karaoke machines, then you are the party bus. This limousine is tall enough to stand up full-height, has fully functional bathrooms and offers a wide variety of party options for the group who likes to go all night long. Party worry-free in a limousine that comes standard with a designated driver!

Graceful and Understated

If you prefer a romantic and subtle approach to luxury, you are the classic stretch limo. This limousine offers amenities such as relaxing hot tubs, mood lighting and a full wet-bar that chills the champagne to just the right temperature. If you fall into this category your personality is full of confidence and regal authority.

Contemporary Sleek

What kind of limousine does a workaholic travel in? Why the Lincoln limo of course. If you want to travel in limousine that portrays a sleek contemporary exterior and a plush inside, this is the one for you. The Lincoln has a subtle commanding presence and allows the high-powered executive to work in the comforts of their car with top-of-the-line satellite communications systems and a workspace fit for a king.

All about the Family

Do you have a large brood of short people that go everywhere with you? Introduce the family to the SUV limousine featuring built-in baby seats, stroller storage, Wi-Fi connections, DVD players complete with headsets and enough room to stretch out your legs. In this limo you won’t have to hear the once standard “she’s touching me” nor will the adults be subjected to the constant barrage of children’s shows and music. Travel in the utmost of comfort, style and sanity saving luxury available on the road.

Look at Me! Look at Me!

Want everyone to take notice when you roll the streets of Manhattan? Look no further than the Hummer limousine. Hummers hold a higher stature among leading SUVs and signify wealth, power and presence, so it stand to reason the Hummer limousine would do the same, only better. When you’re rolling down the streets you can physically see the heads turning and the envy oozing out of patrons on the outside, they’re wondering who you are, what you do and where you’re going. If you’re trying to invoke the green-eyed monster, this is the way to do it.

Depending on your individual personality, your limousine will reflect the image you want portrayed. If you want subtle then you steer away from the party bus, if you’re going for flamboyant then you won’t be choosing the Lincoln, however you choose to be remembered, there is a limousine that suits you.

Car washing by hand is not “Green” or safe to environment

Car washing by hand is not green. When I say by hand, I mean pulling out a bucket with water and a sponge versus going to the “Pay-n-spray” car wash.

So, there are three reasons why it is best to wash your car at a commercial car wash versus the soapy bucket at home. Each reason is a “green” reason.

1.) Washing your car at “home” uses more water. There have been several studies that show that much more water is used when washing the car at home because most people leave the hose running. Commercial car washes will filter and reuse the water several times before it is disposed. Also, commercial car washes use the Bernoulli principle to provide higher pressure using less water thus conserving water even if the water isn’t filtered and reused.

2.) Car wash soaps contain chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. Commercial car washes must contain traps to collect the soaps and waxes used to be properly disposed of and prevent them from being washed into the ecosystem. Unless you have installed such traps at your location, the dirty soap water is often flushed into the storm gutters and transferred to the creeks, rivers, lake, ponds, rivers, etc and can damage the ecology there.

3.) The road grime you are washing off can also contain chemicals. Now, to me, this one isn’t as important since these chemicals did come of the road anyway and with a good rain will be washed away into the streams, but it is still something worth considering. Again, a commercial car wash will collect these chemicals from the road grime so that they may be disposed of properly. This will help reduce the amount that is flushed into the streams with a good rainfall.

I cannot see how a company that does not use a commercial car wash or impliment a commercial car was system at their fleet facility can consider themselves “green” if they are stating that they are “Green.” Yes, there is more to being “Green” than just car washing, but it is still a factor that is relatively simple concept.

I still believe that being called a “green company” is just a gimmick and will pass with time…like El Nino and the Ozone Hole…and that going “green” is just this decade’s way for scientists to continue working in the academic arena.
